S1E10: How Much Alone Time Do You Need?: A coaching call results in Miz restructuring his whole life

S1E10: How Much Alone Time Do You Need?: A coaching call results in Miz restructuring his whole life

Today’s episode ventures into a recent coaching call Miz had with writer and career coach, Penelope Trunk.  With Trunk’s signature style of telling it like it is, Miz gets some brutally honest advice about how to focus his time and what he should do with his life. He finishes the call with a clear directive to get 4-5 hours per day of alone time and to focus on his comedy career. Bucking the trend of doing and producing more, Miz sets out to do and produce less.  Miz and Meg then discuss the benefits of boredom, how our brains need nothing-ness in order to create something, parenting trends based on this research and the value of meditation and sensory deprivation to create boredom. Ending with an action item that could result in all of us discovering our own personal needs for alone time, Miz and Meg have yet again captured our attention and our curiosity with their casual, connected conversation.
