S1E11: The #1 Task of Adult Relationships: How do I be with you and still be me?

Relationships require that we give more even when we think we’re giving all we’ve got. And this is also how relationships challenge and inspire us to grow beyond what we thought was possible. “Relationships are hard,” so they say. But, what makes them so hard? And do they have to be? One of hardest tasks in adult relationships is balancing your own needs with your partner’s needs.  With the infinite variation between human beings, every relationship is bound to hit obstacles related to differing needs, goals and feelings. On today’s episode, Miz and Meg discuss how to communicate with your partner when both of you have strong feelings, how to make room for your partner when you want more space for yourself, and how to ask for what you need. Touching on topics like how introverts and extroverts can co-exist, and the importance of emotional regulation, this episode is one not to miss. Stay tuned til the end for specific action items to make immediate improvements in your relationship.
