S1E8: The Wild World of the Multi-Potentialite: Why we value you like never before

S1E8: The Wild World of the Multi-Potentialite: Why we value you like never before

After watching a Ted Talk by Emilie Wapnick called “Why Some of Us Don’t Have One True Calling,” Miz and Meg both felt a sense of relief, comfort and calm that they didn’t know was possible. Finally, after decades of feeling the pressure to specialize and focus on developing a single skill, the concept of the Multipotentialite emerges and undoes the aloneness of being of a generalist. Imagine a world where kids never have to answer the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” In today’s episode, Miz and Meg explore the concept of the Multipotentialite, including the chemical reaction in the brain that occurs when we experience the feeling of something being “true” or “right.”  As the modern marketplace moves towards valuing the skillsets of Multipotentialites, Miz and Meg examine the ramifications and potentials for creativity and freedom.
